I'm a little confused as to why this book has gotten no mention on any blogs thus far. A book of fantasy, it is written very well (all 7 of them) and keeps you excited and intrigued the whole time. Strongly recommended to anyone who has not read them, and anyone who has read them I'm sure will recommend them also.

Disclaimer (kind of:) I started to read this book when I was 14, made it about 50 pages in, and stopped. Years later, I worked at a daycare where everyone was ranting and raving about these books and I didn't understand why. I finally decided to give it another go and could NOT put them down. So, if the first 50 pages are tough, keep going. It gets REAL good!
I had something very similar happen to me. I started the first Harry Potter book when I was in college and I felt bored by the first chapter. I set it aside, but happened to bring it with me on my honeymoon. While sitting in a lounge chair overlooking the Pacific ocean from Kauai, I gave it another go and ended up loving it once I really got started. I even bought the second book while we were still in Hawaii.
I listened to many of the on CD. But I ended up reading the last three. Amazing stories and the characters are hard to stop thinking about. Thanks Meg for reminding me about these.
