Ok...so if you liked Twilight you might like this book by Elizabeth Kostova. It is a pretty interesting read full of history and scary vampires in a cool way.

If any of you read it let me know if you like it or not.

Thank you Candis for inviting me to be a part of your blog!

Patty, I put this on hold at my library. I have to say that I am more than a little excited to get another vampire fix. I just need to remind myself that Edward will not show up in this book. Right?...

Sorry no charming vampires in this one. The story is based on Vlad the Impaler. Very scary guy..

Don't everyone hate me, but I thought this book was much better than Twilight...........I read it before Twilight, so maybe that was why. It seemed like it was almost believable...........I really liked it! I had no idea it was about vampires when I 1st picked it up at library. Then I realized it was, but it still seemed interesting and I love big, long books that take you a little bit to get into. Then while I was reading it, my sister Beth called to tell me how she found this great book (Twilight - is that the 1st of the series?) and she was trying to explain that even though it was about vampires, it still was really good. I said, "Oh, I'm reading a book about vampires as well." She thought I was kidding. (you kind of had to be there, but it was funny that we both were randomly reading about vampires - like that was our normal book topic) If I remember right, it was clean, interesting and the kind that you can enjoy, but you don't have to stay up all night to finish - that is, until the last 1/4 of the book :)
